Who doesn’t love a dip in the pool? Moving in a swimming pool is one of the best ways to get active. It’s gentle on your body and moving in the water is excellent for your wellbeing. For Meena, it also helped to relieve some of her symptoms.
It’s not just swimming that’s beneficial - you could try to walk against the resistance of the water, aided by the buoyancy it provides. You could dance on the spot and enjoy the feeling of the water against your arms and legs. Or, if you’re feeling athletic, why not count lengths and cover great distances in the water? Choose your own pace and decide what movements you want to do in the pool. Darlaine created her own series of Tai Chi style movements and stretches to do in the water, loosening her muscles after surgery.
