We Are Undefeatable joins forces with EFL in the Community to get more people with long-term health conditions moving.
We Are Undefeatable has teamed up with EFL in the Community to inspire people living with long-term health conditions to get active across the nation. Both organisations, proud Sport England system partners, share a powerful mission: to increase physical activity among people with long-term health conditions. Together, they have delivered workshops to over 30 nationwide Football Club charities, equipping their teams with the knowledge and tools needed to better support those living with long-term health conditions.

Bringing local stories to life
Football Club charities highlighted inspiring stories of individuals living with long term health conditions who have benefited from their programmes across their communications channels. Take Michelle, who found comfort and support through the Burnley FC in the Community’s group for people living with cancer, and Eric, who gained vital support to get active via Shrewsbury Town Foundation’s exercise sessions tailored for people living with Parkinson’s.
Clubs brought stories like Michelle’s and Eric’s to life through compelling articles and videos shared across their social media channels, and linked content to national awareness days such as World Cancer Day and World Parkinson’s Day to increase relevance and boost reach. Content featuring individuals’ stories not only showcased the local support available but also provided inspiring examples of how others living with long term health conditions could get involved.

Adapting We Are Undefeatable resources for your community
We Are Undefeatable and EFL in the Community also developed a co-branded version of the popular Five in Five mini-workout, which was shared among Football Club charities. Aligned with their strategic goals to offer inclusive, accessible workouts, this ready-made resource was an easy win which could be embedded within their services.
