Local We Are Undefeatable campaign launches across Hampshire and Isle of Wight

Four councils have teamed up with NHS Hampshire and Isle of Wight and Active Partnership Energise Me to deliver a new We Are Undefeatable campaign across the local community.

Hampshire And Isle Of Wight Vikki

We’re excited to announce the launch of a new localised We Are Undefeatable campaign across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. The campaign brings together the local NHS, Active Partnership Energise Me, and the councils of Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Portsmouth and Southampton to support people living with long-term health conditions to move more and be active in ways that work for them.

This marks the first time that these councils have come together to deliver a shared physical activity campaign.

Local stories are at the heart of the campaign

One of the featured storytellers is Vikki, who, after being diagnosed with nasal cancer in 2024, was able to rebuild confidence in herself by embracing physical activity at a pace that suited her.

Watch the video below to hear Vikki’s story.

The campaign is currently live across out-of-home advertising (including posters at bus stops, libraries and GP surgeries), social media and digital channels, as well as local press support. People living in Hampshire and Isle of Wight are encouraged to discover local activities, seek practical support and be inspired by the real-life stories from people living with long-term health conditions.

The already established national We Are Undefeatable campaign played an important role in providing insight and learnings backed by national charities.

"We chose to use We Are Undefeatable because it speaks directly to the real experiences of people living with long-term health conditions. By building on an already successful campaign, and the insight it provides, we were able to bring partners together around a shared message and joint priority to support people with long term conditions to move more. By localising the campaign we’ve been able to directly signpost people to local activities on their doorstep, whilst also being supported by the national resources and app."

- Debbie Aslin, Head of Marketing and Communications at Energise Me
